The Aft Balance Trimmer Bracket can be used in place of the standard balance trimmer bracket so that the mass of the relatively small, 20-ounce trim weight will act to shift the Optical Tube forward on the the saddle plate.  When using a long OTA without a bino-viewer, this forward shift allows easier access to the controls on the mount.  The Aft Balance Trimmer and standard Balance Trimmer are NOT used at the same time — so the trim weight from the standard Balance Trimmer is redeployed to the Aft Balance Trimmer Bracket.  The Aft Balance Trimmer Bracket quickly disconnects from the mount (without tools) to keep the transport configuration of the mount small.
